Master of Business Administration

The program is designed to provide the student with a broad background in business while allowing the student to focus in an area of study, if desired. Core requirements include coursework in management, finance, marketing, law and ethics, organizational theory and behavior, accounting, and a capstone course in policy and strategy. Electives include such courses as global business, entrepreneurship, managerial economics and management

Bachelor of Business Administration - Economics

The Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Economics is designed to prepare students to analyze the ways in which scarce resources are allocated for businesses, governments and non-profits. Strong analytical skills are necessary for this discipline so coursework focuses on developing critical thinking skills, computer skills and quantitative skills. Since critical thinking and analytical skills are imperative in the business world, those students acquiring that skill set have a variety of job opportunities.

Bachelor of Business Administration - Entrepreneurship

The Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship provides students with a solid business background. Specific classes on various aspects of entrepreneurship then allows students to more fully develop their entrepreneurial spirit. The project and the capstone course for Entrepreneurship is a complete business plan. Students develop an idea from thought to completion and are then ready to go forward with that idea as they begin their own business.

Bachelor of Business Administration - Finance

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a concentration in Finance is designed to prepare students for the finance challenges of today?s organizations The program is designed to introduce students to the three primary areas in finance: money and banking, investments and managerial finance. From the courses offered, students will gain needed knowledge and skills in the areas of financial planning, financial organizations, financial markets, interpersonal skills, communication skills and computer skills. All businesses require finance skills as organizations determine the company's profitability. This degree works from corporate America to non-profits.

Bachelor of Business Administration - Hospitality

The Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Travel and Tourism is designed to allow students to develop the skill sets necessary for success in this industry. Graduates of this program work as managers in the hotel/entertainment industry, managers of ski resorts, managers of resorts and camp managers. Customer service skills and excellent managerial skills are imperative for this graduate. This is a diverse industry with opportunities in a wide variety of businesses including owning ones own business, and as the travel tourism industry grows, growth in this job area will also follow.

Bachelor of Business Administration - Human Resources

The Bachelor Of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management provides the students with up-to-date knowledge and practical methods necessary for success in this career field. Human Resource Management refers to the strategic deployment of individuals to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization. As such, HRM is an integral part of every company, regardless of organizational size, product or service. MSC students who seek this BBA concentration will be exposed to the principles of HRM, as well as the functions of staffing, compensation, safety & employee health, training & development, and employee and labor relations.

Bachelor of Business Administration - Computer Information Systems

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems is a degree in demand today as organizations face the challenges of technology management. This program provides graduates with business and systems expertise and skills to design, create, implement, and manage computer information systems in modern organizations. Graduates of this program are employed in such occupations as systems analysts, web page designers database administrators, network administrators, help desk specialists, security/privacy officers, information systems managers and analyst/ programmers. Graduates assist businesses with creating, obtaining, and maintaining computer information systems that solve problems, transform organizations, and assist in facilitating routine business events. The remaining 12 hours allows you to specialize your MBA, choosing either the professional, thesis, or sport management track.

The marketing concentration at Mesa State College is designed to prepare students with a strong knowledge base in principles of marketing, integrated marketing communications, consumer behavior, sales and sales management, marketing research and marketing strategies. Students will also be prepared in the use of automated statistical analysis tools, automated promotional tools and online tools. The BBA degree can be applied in various fields such as medicine, the arts, sports, and education. In addition to positions in corporate America, nonprofit organizations like hospitals, school systems, and theaters also require people with business training and skills. Bachelor of Applied Science - Hospitality Management

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration combines the technical skills and business proficiency necessary for success in today's business world. A unique program, the BAS allows students who have already earned an associates of applied science degree to build upon their technical specialties with general education courses and junior and senior level business classes. This allows associate degree holders to gain a four-year degree in approximately four additional full-time semesters, depending upon prior coursework. This degree will provide students upward mobility in their area of employment as they move into supervision/management positions in their areas of technical expertise, providing a unique career ladder opportunity.
